Video from a 6abc.com television helicopter shows smoke billowing from the home that also caught fire on Battle Lane in Commercial Township.
The roof was ripped off and there was a damaged vehicle visible from the 4:45 a.m. blast on Monday, May 13.
Upon arrival of New Jersey State Police, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. The resident, a 60-year-old man from Millville, sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available at this time, he said.
